the purple crayon…

Here is a bike I built for someone a while ago. It’s worth taking a look at!

It is even featured on the Fixed Gear Gallery (http://www.fixedgeargallery.com/2005/aug/TomBullers.htm).

  1. Wow, cool bike! And it’s even got the Duracci cranks!!!

  2. I like the bike, What kind of paint did you use on this?

  3. This is a ridiculously late response but appropriate to provide credit where it is due. That purple base coat was laid down by the renowned Tom Teesdale in his barn in West Branch, IA. He has recently and sadly passed. He mixed a great color from an auto paint shop source. He also removed some braze-ons and cold set the rear triangle to fit the Phil Wood single speed hub. Rich Dana, a local artist in Iowa City (around 2005) painted the graphics in a mad take on the Harold and The Purple Crayon theme. Mike Chamberlain of Broken spoke assembled the bike. Thanks all for making such a great ride. I still ride it here in Baltimore and take in on the Summer Bike Party! rides. Cheers. -tom bullers
