Indeed, they are in & they are pretty awesome!
Each cap is made in the USA & I’ve got a plethora of styles from moisture-wicking to wool.
Come in & check them out!

Fresh in the shop! Volume one of Yehuda Moon & The Kickstand Cyclery is here!
Check out this awesomeness!
From www.yehudamoon.com:
Yehuda Moon works at the Kickstand Cyclery, lives on his bicycle and dreams of a day when everyone does likewise.
The strip chronicles the on road and retail adventures of Yehuda Moon. Yehuda owns a bike shop, the Kickstand Cyclery, with his friend Joe, and the two are confronted with the challenges presented by their daily bicycle commute and the customers (or lack thereof) at the bike shop.
Another custom frame-up build to come out of the shop!

This one was a Kona Sutra frame built up into a light & fast single speed commuter.

Full fenders & rack are the usual staples for an awesome commuting bicycle. The Brooks B-17 in British Racing Green & copper rails complements the bike nicely. Other highlights are the Thomson seatpost & stem, White Industries eccentric hub & ENO freewheel, Soma Lauterwasser handlebar, Speedplay Frog pedals, & Sugino single speed crank.

Hand-stitched(by me) Velo Orange Elk hide handlebar covering give the handlebars an elegant look. The Stem Captain clock in the stem adds functional class!

Here is the front wheel that I hand-built to match the rear that I built weeks ago. Paul WORD hub on an Alex Adventurer rim using Wheelsmith double butted spokes. Continental Gatorskins put the rubber to the road.

Yet another custom hand-built wheel to come out of the shop! This is going on one of my customers’ very much loved Surly Long Haul Trucker.

This one consists of a Schmidt SONdelux generator hub laced up to the tried & true Alex Adventurer rim with Wheelsmith double-butted spokes. It will be used to power the Busch + Müller Lumotec IQ Cyo Senso Plus headlight & Dtoplight XS Plus taillight. I ordered the hub & lights from www.peterwhitecycles.com, which is the US distributor of many excellent German products.

This is definitely the smallest generator hub I have seen. It may provide the coolest reflection of any hub I’ve seen, as well. It’s neat how the rounded profile creates a “chain-link fence” image with the spokes. You can even see all of the way to the back of the shop in the lower right of the hub!
This was a used bike for sale at the shop that got bought by a customer and then we stripped it down to the bare frame so pretty much all of the parts could get updated with new stuff.

New parts consist of lots of Velo Orange stuff like hubs, crankset, bottom bracket, fenders, front & rear racks, & bottle cage. There is also a Nitto Albatross handlebar, Shimano LX front & rear derailleurs, Shimano 8-speed barend shifters, Tektro brake levers, Ergon cork grips, Dia-Compe brakes, Origin8 headset, Shimano generator hub powered headlight, Crane copper bell, & a Brooks b-67 saddle. The wheels were hand-built by me & finished off with Panaracer Pasela tyres with white tread & cream sidewalls.

I got thrown a lot of curve balls by this bike, but none of them couldn’t be overcome using my expansive set of problem solving skills! There are more than a few people that would say “that’s incompatible” or “that won’t work,” but I know otherwise. It just takes some clever thinking, some initiative, & knowledge.

This bike looks fantastic coming or going! So many little details really make this bike appreciated.

And while I forgot to take photographs of the completed wheelset, here is a photo of the front wheel before it got tensioned. It is a Velo Orange generator hub laced up with DT Revolution spokes to a polished Sun CR18 rim.
Here is a very nice set of wheels I had the pleasure of building very recently for a customer.

The front(left) is a Chris King disc hub laced up double-crossed to a DT RR415 28H rim using DT Revolution spokes. The rear(right) is a matching Chris King hub laced up triple crossed to a DT RR465 32H rim. This setup makes for an extremely nice & light & strong & sensible wheelset!

They went onto this very much loved Kona Dew Plus. Every component on this bike has been upgraded except for the headset!

How do you get your precious bike home when you rode a bike to the shop to pick it up? With your sweet Surly trailer, of course!
What happens when no bike companies offer the bike you want? You have The Broken Spoke build up exactly what you’re looking for of course!

This is the ultimate commuter for a certain customer who rides year-round & sold his car a few years ago(well done, Jesse!). He wanted something that would require very little maintenance & would accommodate wide studded tyres for the Winter with fenders with no problems.

The rack & fenders, along with a few other things, will be transferred over from his other bike onto this one to complete the ultimate commuter package.

A sweet Sturmey-Archer five speed downtube shifter makes the power shifts happen! The rear wheel was hand-built by me & utilizes an internally geared hub for a minimal maintenance drivetrain.
After far too long of a wait, the Surly long trailer(AKA Bill) has arrived!
It is going to get used for the newly-formed business, Griddle Me This. Matt will be cooking up wonderful breakfast items at the Farmer’s Market Saturday mornings all Summer on equipment brought on-site by this very set-up pictured above!
Check out his Facebook page for more information on what is sure to be an awesome addition to the Farmer’s Market!
Lots of custom wheels have been coming out of the shop. Here are but a few!

This is a pair of Shimano XT disc hubs laced up to Alex Adventurer rims using DT Revolution spokes. A fantastic set of gravel-riding wheels if there ever was one.

Here we have a Surly fixed/fixed track hub laced to the original Aero Max rim of this wheel rebuild. DT Champion spokes connect the two, while a brand new Shimano Dura-Ace track cog & lockring provide the driving force behind this wheel.

This one is for a custom frame-up build that is also soon to come out of the shop. It is a Sturmey Archer 5 speed internal hub laced up to a Sun M13II polished rim using DT Champion spokes as well.
